Me and
My Family

   Who is Darlene Psota?
First and foremost, I am a child of God.
Born and raised in a Christian home in central Nebraska,
I don't remember a time when I didn't know how much Jesus loved me.  His faithfulness and mercy have been evident
through all the good and not-so-good years of my growing up. Looking back, even though not perfect, I can say
with all honesty that I would not trade my
childhood for anything.

Today I live outside a rural community in Southwest Iowa.  In addition to my teaching ministry I have my own web design business, as well as serving as a data tabulator for a local opinion survey company.
God has blessed me with a wonderful family.  My husband, Duane, is a faithful and devoted husband, whose quiet strength and dependence upon the Lord has kept me grounded many times!
Duane works as a representative for a Chicago-based company.   In his spare time he enjoys tending to our acreage, playing golf, cheering for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and being with his family.

Me and Duane,
my godly husband
of 36 years.

Daughter Kim with
husband Brian, and
twins, Jack and Sydney

Our first-born daughter Kim is employed in the sales department for our local newspaper.  Her husband Brian owns his own computer drafting company.  They and their 5-year old twins, Jack and Sydney, live about  5 miles from us.  Needless to say, Grandpa and Grandma enjoy every moment we can be with them.  We have seen both Brian and Kim grow in the Lord, faithfully attending their weekly Bible study and being a part of the Body of Christ. Jack and Sydney are members of our church's Sparkies group and can hardy wait for Wednesday nights to be with their teachers and friends.

Our younger daughter, Kristin, also lives here and is ad coordinator for the same newspaper. God has given her the gift of song and has used her through the years to bless so many others.   She has had the to opportunity to sing with a choir in Carnage Hall in New York City, an international conference in England as well as for local and national conferences, and in local and area churches and for special occasions.  Her husband of just one year, Jeremy, is the graphic designer for the newspaper as well.  Whenever we have a computer "crisis," Jeremy is the one we call.  In our books, he is second only to Bill Gates!

We attend a growing Word-based church as a family where we are all learning more and more about who we are in Christ.  Pastor Dave MacDonald and wife, Connie, as well as the other leaders of Faith Community Church, continue to be shining examples of the Lord's love.

Duane serves as one of the church's elders.  Both he and I serve as greeters for the church, as well as members of a weekly Bible study.  We have made some wonderful friends who share our desire to be on fire for Christ!

WAG (Women's Accountability Groups) has also become an important part of my  fellowship.  I truly appreciate the love and support these precious sisters in Christ have shown.  Isn't it wonderful to be accepted just the way you are - imperfections and all?!?

AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) fills my Wednesday evenings with joy!  The 3rd and 4th graders participating in this children's program have taught me more than I could have hoped for.  Their hunger for the Word of God has stirred up my first love and has sent me digging deeper into Scripture!

The rock (standing in front of
Red Oak Faith Community)
is truly symbolic of a church
that is built on the Solid Rock
of the Word of God!

Even though I graduated from, and taught in a local Bible College for several years, it never amazes how much there is still to learn about God and His nature.  It is an honor and privilege to be able to share what God has taught me with you.  My prayer is that you will encouraged and strengthened by His messages.

Please email me if you have a prayer request, a question or concern, or would like more information on the ministry God has given me.  I am always available to speak at Christian meetings and conferences.  My desire is to share Christ in the area of being a woman/wife/mother, as well as healing for the body of Christ.
